We are diverse. We are mission driven.
We are family. We are committed to Christ.

A word from the Business Director…

I hope everyone’s new year has started off with a bang! As we get into this new year, please remember:

1.     If you made a “Leap of Faith” pledge, remember that the pledge period has begun!

2.     If you combine your “Leap” with your normal giving pledge, please make a notation in the memo line of your check or in your online donation, how much is for “Leap”. Some of you pledged one way (weekly, monthly or annually) but made your “Leap” pledge on a different schedule (i.e. normal pledge monthly but “leap” weekly, etc.). It is very hard for me to tell your intentions, and I do not want to have to guess. For your online donations, there is now an additional option for “Leap of Faith Pledge”.

3.     If you have a recurring donation through the church website (our online processor is Vanco), please understand that I will not adjust the amount you are giving, or add in the “Leap” amount without specific instructions from you to do so. This is your account and you will need to do this through the Vanco account you set up when you first entered your recurring transaction. You can access your account through the login on the giving page of the church website. If you need help with that, I will be happy to help but will never do that without explicit instructions from you!

4.     Year-end giving statements will be coming soon! If we have an email address in our member database, it will come by email. Otherwise, it will be coming by snail mail. If you receive an email, please print your statement for your records or put the email in a folder that you will be able to access at a future date, closer to your tax filing date.

Thank you for your help and understanding as we move into this new year! If you have any questions or need any further assistance, please feel free to contact me.

Getting Your House in Order…

is a practical and compassionate conversation about planning for the seasons ahead. In partnership with a trusted local attorney, we’ll walk through some of life’s most important—and often postponed—tasks, including wills, medical directives, powers of attorney, and other essential documents.

This gathering is not about fear or pressure, but about peace of mind: caring well for yourself, your loved ones, and the values that matter most to you. Whether you’re just beginning to think about these questions or need to update existing plans, this event is designed to be informative, accessible, and encouraging.

January 29 @6pm in Soul Food. A Meal will be provided.
