Trustees Need Your Help!

Join us Saturday, October 3, from 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. for our Soul Food Fellowship and

Kitchen Cleaning Day!

If you can scrub, wipe, wash, organize, or purge, we have a job for you! After months of wonderful fellowship and events in this space, it’s time to give our kitchen a much-needed deep clean so it’s ready to serve for many more gatherings.

We’ll have a list of cleaning projects ready to go. When you arrive, simply choose a task, roll up your sleeves, and help us make a difference!

Whether you can stay for an hour or the whole day, your time and helping hands will be greatly appreciated. Many hands make light work—we hope to see you there!

Lord’s Acre Update

Volunteer information

A huge thank you for those of you that have filled out a volunteer form. If you noted that you could work one of the stations, we will be reaching out shortly confirming your volunteer activities as we continue to plan for the fun-filled weekend. If you haven’t filled out a form, it’s not too late! They can be found on the Lord’s Acre table in Wooten Hall. They will also be shared at the Sunday School classes this week.

Martin Mall, Silent and Live Auction donations

Every Wednesday & Sunday between now and October 11, we will be accepting your donations for Martin Mall and the auctions. The Donation Station will be in Wooton Hall, so please start bringing your items. Sooner is always better from a planning perspective, but we understand if it goes down to the wire. You can’t always hurry perfection!!

If you need someone to pick up donations, please call Catherine Ross at 214-850-9569.

NEW for 2026

•  This year we will have a “scavenger hunt” for the children. They will receive a card at the Welcome table and then can find each station to get a sticker. Based on the number of stickers they get, they can get a prize from the prize table.

•  Also new this year are dirty sodas being sold by the children’s ministry. You can still buy a regular soda or water, but there will be a station with the “dirty drinks”. If you want to learn what that is, just visit their station and find out.

•  Our photo op area will be available to everyone to take their own selfies or we will have someone there that can take the picture for you on your phone. The decorations will be fall related and might look nice on a holiday card! Just sayin’.

Finally, due to popular demand, and while it’s not “new” we are bringing back the brisket sandwiches as our lunch offering on Saturday Oct 17th. Tickets will be available online soon.

FOURGIVEN is a four-part male quartet consisting of: Chad Thomason, Misi Latu, Stan Paschal and Rick Weaver. They will debut their group at the Lord’s Acre Concert on Friday night of that Weekend – October 16 at 6:30 p.m.!
