How do you measure success?

Is it watching Martin reading volunteers teach and read with children?

Is it knowing I can depend on Martin members to provide snacks and lunches for the interns?

Is it knowing that I can ask Tommy Mann to cook hotdogs for the children on the grill and get a child’s reaction “we get real food today!”?

 Is it knowing Diane Hutchinson and her helpers (financially and physically) will provide numerous dinners for the interns and a delicious meal during our Family Fun Night?

Is it watching the children grow emotionally and behaviorally as the weeks passed?

Is it knowing their reading skills maintained or improved over the summer?

Is it knowing the children were enriched spiritually by attending Vacation Bible School and Fine Arts Camp?

Is it watching Deanna help the interns anytime they asked?

Is it knowing that the Journey and the Way Sunday School classes provided funding for a special animal program for the children? 

Is it knowing that many volunteers came together to make our Family Fun Night a success?

Is it watching our pastors interact with the children during Time with God lessons?

Is it watching the interns faces as they opened thank you Amazon gift cards generously donated by Martin members?

I could go on and I am sure I have forgotten someone or something that made our first summer with the Project Transformation Summer Camp a success, but what I do know, is that Martin showed up and because of that many children and the intern’s lives were changed. I don’t know about you, but I saw God at work every day at Martin and I am once again blessed to call Martin home!
