Martin UMC Backpack Ministry Kick Off…Big Pack

Once again this school year, Martin will be delivering weekend bags of meals to 60 food insecure students in the HEB school district. On our BIG PACK Labor Day Weekend-Sunday, Sept. 3^rd , it is our goal to pack 360 bags. If you are already a Backpack volunteer you will be receiving a sign up request to help us with the Wooton Hall set up Friday Sept. 1^st. If you are new to our church and want to be included in our volunteer opportunities, please send an email to denise@campbellstudiosusa.com and you will be added to our volunteer list.

SILENT AUCTION:

One of our most lively events at Lord’s Acre is the Silent Auction. You will find items of all types and friends bidding against each other makes for great competition and fun! This year we are asking for members to donate items for the Silent Auction. These items range from jewelry, clothing, artwork, handmade items, gift baskets, tools, purses, accessories, home decor, holiday decor, gift cards, and much more. We will accept just about anything that you yourself would like to buy, however, we do ask that items are new.

Wendy Hamilton is our chairperson for the Silent Auction and if you have any questions regarding items to donate please contact her at 214-212-1044. If you have already been shopping and would like a place to store your items, we have a locked area at church. Please contact Teresa Cochran at 817-929-0013 or Faiana Funaki at 480-332-2563 and we can arrange to meet you at church.
