Rev. Stacey Piyakhun

Director of Multiplication

Horizon Texas Conference, United Methodist Church

Ordained in 2011, Rev. Stacey Piyakhun has served in multiple pastoral roles across the North Texas Conference, including First United Methodist Church of Frisco, Christ United Methodist Church in Plano, and First United Methodist Church of McKinney/Melissa UMC. As the lead pastor for Melissa United Methodist Church (UMC), she walked alongside the congregation from worship in a local elementary school, through the challenges of the pandemic, to the opening of their first permanent building in April 2021. The church grew both in number and in their ability to welcome, encourage and serve the community. Stacey was appointed as Associate Director of Multiplication beginning in July 2024 and became director of the center in July of this year.

In her role as Director of Multiplication for the Horizon Texas Conference, Rev. Piyakhun leads efforts in church planting by supporting and resourcing new expressions of United Methodism. She also focuses on developing leaders among both clergy and laity and strengthening campus and collegiate ministries. The Center for Multiplication helps identify and cultivate areas across the conference where the mission of multiplying Jesus followers is actively taking place. One of her guiding scriptures during periods of rapid change is Isaiah 43:19: “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” Rev. Piyakhun holds firmly to the belief that God has been building a church since the beginning of time as God’s people gather, and God continues to build a church today.

Rev. Piyakhun has been married to her husband Keith for over 25 years, and they have two grown daughters. In her free time, she enjoys playing piano, reading, spending time with family and friends, and training their youngest dog in tricks. Her passion for sharing God’s love, paired with her spiritual vision, has shaped her leadership within the United Methodist Church.

Please remember,Deanna will be on vacation from 6/27-7/8. There will not be a newsletter on 7/2. And no daily devos from 6/29-7/12. Devos will resume on Monday, 7/13.
