What do we believe?

The United Methodist church is a global church that opens hearts, opens minds, and opens doors through active engagement with our world. Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

As United Methodists, we have an obligation to bear a faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the enter of the Church’s life and witness. To fulfill this obligation, we reflect critically on our biblical and theological inheritance, striving to express faithfully the witness we make in our own time.

We share a common heritage and many similar beliefs with a variety of Christian traditions. However, we are distinct in our overarching emphasis on grace and how God’s grace should inform our Christian living.
